In years 1 & 2 students choose level 1 & 2 courses in 2 other subjects in addition to those listed below and are not committed to specific degree subject until year 3; this allows students flexibility to choose between different degrees available within faculty.
Levels 1 & 2: Courses in department of medicine and therapeutics. Levels 3 & 4: Choice from modules covering: muscle fatigue; exercise in cardiac disease; exercise in respiratory disease; exercise in medical conditions; drugs in sport; sports injuries; rehabilitation and sports medicine; exercise in immunology; health promotion and sports nutrition. Practical sessions include: exercise testing in cardiac disease; treatment of sports injury; cardiac rehabilitation; arthroscopic assessment of the knee joint; drug testing.
