The 1st year of study provides a solid grounding in the life sciences; Year 2 is the preferred point of entry for well-qualified students.
Year 1: Introduction to modern biology, from molecules to whole organisms, and the necessary chemical principles. Year 2: Structure and function of the human body; introduction to sport and exercise science. Year 3: 4 modules: clinical exercise science; molecular exercise physiology; human systems physiology; cell and molecular physiology. Year 4: Topics from wide range of sports biomedicine and other life sciences modules, studied at the level of current research; a research project is undertaken over 15 weeks.
