The programmes provide candidates with a thorough theoretical and practical grounding in sport psychology; the programme itself is not a professional qualification in sport psychology; however, for those candidates with a professional interest, the programme should prove a suitable stepping stone to the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) supervised experience scheme.
Research methods in sport studies (1/2 module); statistics and data analysis; research design in sport psychology (1/2 module); sport psychology: theory to practice; professional development and practice in sport psychology; counselling skills for sport psychologists; dissertation; plus 1 option from: coaching process; working with elite performers; independent study.
