The focus of the Spanish degree programme on the attainment of high levels of proficiency in written and spoken language, in aural comprehension and reading skills; the course is complemented by a wide range of options covering Spanish and Spanish-American history, institutions, society, and culture; students spend the third academic year abroad on placement; this theatre studies degree programme include training in theatre techniques and performance skills; these can be consolidated through a wide range of practical projects, including our vigorous programme of outreach work and through regular workshops and residencies with professional theatre groups; students also have opportunities to participate in community-based performance projects and in extra-curricular student theatre.
