"I decided to come to South Thames College when I left school because it is the only place that offered this type of course at this level. I have always been interested in computer games and the Computer Games Development course gives me the opportunity to pursue my passion.

This course isn’t just about playing computer games! It offers experience across every aspect of computer games design from the market research stage, where you learn how to create games that appeal to particular groups, through to concept drawing and 3D modelling. I have had the opportunity to learn how to build a computer game from scratch, and use complex games development software and technology.

The course has given me insight into the hours of work and development that goes into every computer game. It involves a lot of skill and attention to detail and has increased my understanding of the process of creating games.

The class has been a lot of fun and we have a really good and knowledgeable teacher, who gives us freedom and treats us like an adult. The facilities are excellent and we have access to the latest technology.

This course has great potential to lead into a range of careers form computer animation and games development, through to animation fine arts and 3D Design. I hope to go onto university after this course, and fell that this course has given me a good foundation to build upon."
