Established over 35 years ago, South Nottingham College is one of the East Midland's most successful colleges offering over 1000 full and part-time courses from fun one-day leisure programmes through to full-time HNDs and Foundation Degrees. There are two main centres in West Bridgford and Clifton serving the area south of the River Trent, although students from all over the UK choose to study HE courses at the college as Nottingham is renowned as being one of the country's top student cities.

South Nottingham College tops the list of Nottingham FE colleges for student success rates with an overall 80% of students achieving their full and part-time courses.

Its national reputation for art, design and multimedia provision was enhanced by a QAA inspection in 2004 which awarded ‘commended’ judgements in teaching and learning, student progression and learning resources. Also in 2004 OFSTED inspectors confirmed South Nottingham College is Unique! South Nottingham College is the only one in the East Midlands to score consecutive Grade 1s (the highest award possible) for Art & Design and Multimedia. With high examination success rates and an excellent history of progression onto degree courses and employment, the college prides itself on seeing students succeed.
