This course follows on from and includes the level 1 course and is designed to give you as much practical experience as possible to make you self-sufficient and confident enough to run any kind of professional recording session on your own. This will greatly enhance your prospects for getting paid employment as a professional studio and live Sound Engineer, Studio Programmer or even as a teacher (with teacher training).
You will be able to go over any aspects of the standard course that you were not clear about and in a lot more depth. At the end of the course you will be knowledgeable enough to teach others and know the studio inside/out.

· Reason, Ableton Live
· Live PA mixing (Sound Reinforcement).
· extensive microphone technique work,
· advanced studio wiring,
· advanced synthesis,
· advanced hard and software sampling,
· Multi-track tape recording,
· Mastering,
· guided market research,
· studio set up and planning,
· independent live recording sessions,
· video sound-tracking
· DJ
· Music business
You might also do some class support work for the students on the 1st part. (Teaching is the best way to learn).
We reserve the right to amend and/or add to the topics listed above. Other topics will probably be introduced as the course proceeds as we will be continuously developing the course partly based on your feedback as well as our own insights.
Length: 9 months. Only 3-4 people per course.
Times:
Tutorial periods: Thursdays and Fridays 11:00 to 13:30.
Practical periods: Mondays all day (often ‘till 9PM) and Tuesday 11:00 to 13:30.
You will also often have the opportunity to use the facilities at evenings and weekends.
