This programme is designed to provide a historical understanding of the development of laws relating to the provision of welfare services from a global perspective and how administrative law principles impact on the provision of welfare services to the public in relation to private providers, local authorities, charities, NGOs and other voluntary services; it investigates the impact of human rights principles and private law principles on the provision of these services.
There are 3 core modules and 2 optional modules; there is also an optional dissertation; core modules include: the legal regulation of welfare services: global perspectives; UK public and private law: accountability for delivery of welfare services; human rights and welfare service provision.
