This course creates knowledge and analytical skills through applied research and involvement in the process of managing a small and medium enterprise venture in the contemporary business environment. Students collaborate with selected industry practitioners on an industry-based research project. It enables them to acquire the basic competencies necessary for entry into a career in new venture or small and medium business management. Students learn to appreciate the major ingredients in small and medium enterprise success, and the special problems small and medium enterprises may encounter.
