About this course

Our Six Sigma Green Belt programme is a practical, hands-on course focused on eliminating waste and increasing efficiency across the whole operation and along the supply chain.

Qualified Six Sigma Green Belt practitioners have the skills and expertise to apply sophisticated improvement tools, change behaviours and transform business performance. Practitioners typically generate cost savings of £25,000 - £250,000 through the Six Sigma projects they implement.

The programme is delivered by experienced Master Black Belt practitioners who also offer mentoring, support and advice.

Benefits

  • Increased efficiency to drive up profitability or offset cost increases in other areas e.g. raw materials.
  • A more efficient operation creating competitive advantage.
  • Culture and practices changed to sustain improvement activity and long term financial benefits.
  • Recognised Green Belt certification adds credibility to your team and business within the industry.
  • Development of strong leadership, problem solving and change management skills.

Part 1 (3 days)

Part 2 (3 days)

Project progress reviews, gauge R&R, process capability analysis, analysis of variance, graphical analysis of input/output variables, stratification techniques, confidence levels, using the data to change behaviours.

Part 3 (4 days)

Project progress reviews, introduction to hypothesis testing (Anova, Regression, Chi Squared, T-Tests), design of experiments, generating and selecting solutions, optimisation of critical x’s, managing project and team, mistake proofing, process control, how to make Six Sigma sustainable.

How does it work?

The programme is delivered through practical group and individual exercises, worked examples and seminar type case discussions. The ‘Train-Learn-Apply-Share’ cycle is used to maximise student understanding and value delivered back into the business. This methodology can increase the financial return fourfold when compared to a traditional classroom-based course.

To get the most benefit from the programme, candidates should be fully prepared before each session, contribute to discussions and be ready to share their own experiences.

Additional entry requirements

Attendees should have a basic knowledge of lean tools and techniques and experience within a manufacturing environment.
