This programme is run by the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon; it enables students to focus on how Shakespeare's plays work in performance, encouraging an historical approach to interpretation and styles of presentation and promoting the value of close reading as the basis for evaluating the plays on the page, stage and screen; students have access to the unique Shakespearian resources of the Shakespeare Institute library, the Shakespeare Centre library and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
