About this course

Do you need help to understand paper patterns, how to hem, stitch seams, fastenings and make bags? Then this is the class for you. Learn basic sewing machine skills whilst making a reversible tote bag. Thread up your machine, get the correct tension and use straight stitch and machine zig-zag. Follow a paper pattern, lay out the pattern and cut it out. Learn methods of fastenings; zips, buttons, poppers and studs.

Additional entry requirements

A desire to learn sewing skills such seams, how to put in a zip, garment construction and how to read a pattern.
