This course is offered on a modular basis; the main aspects of the course prepare participants to develop students' writing, reading, speaking and listening skills throughout each key stage at secondary school; to develop students' interest in a wide variety of literature including non-fiction writing, poetry, prose and drama; to develop the students' confidence in English with a range of activities to develop and enhance their understanding of the subject; it leads to recommendation for the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
