This course is offered on a non-modular basis; the aim of the design and technology course is to produce enthusiastic, reflective, high quality teachers who are able to advance the subject; the course is designed to give opportunities to upgrade and revise students knowledge, skills and understanding of food and textiles; graduates with food or textile related degrees are welcomed; students specialise in either food or textiles; curriculum materials and approaches to teaching develops ability to use information communication technology (ICT) in the classroom; planning and assessing learning; students have the opportunity to take a a special needs pathway, a citizenship pathway for a small number of students, and a 14-19 physical education pathway.
