This course is offered on a non-modular basis; the programme combines an interesting range of academic study with practical school-based components to enable students to teach business studies across the 14-19 age range; it prepares students for a profession where innovative work with secondary pupils soon becomes part of teachers' daily lives, and where a range of people, from parents and local community members to other professionals from different agencies, work closely together with teachers and pupils; the course leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on completion of skills tests.
