This course is offered on a non-modular basis; it focuses on techniques for teaching pupils and assessing their learning; this entails appropriate planning for the 14-19 age group, the identification of appropriate goals and content for the programme of learning, strategies for assessment and the acquisition of skills for delivery and evaluation; the course explores: existing subject provision in schools; appropriate curriculum structures and content for teaching; formulation, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning strategies; assessment, recoding and reporting pupil progress and attainment; teaching and pupil learning through the use of information communication technology.
