Course Description
This course is for anyone who is seeking a first qualification in the practical use of computerised accounts. The course is for students who wish to obtain the Pitman Computerised Accounts qualification. Consequently, all students on this course will be expected to enter for the assessment. This course will enable students to add new accounts to Purchase/Sales Ledgers, create accounts in the Nominal Ledger from given information, process information in respect of the Purchase/Sales Ledgers, calculate and reconcile all batch totals as required and print out copies of ledgers, balances and accounts as requested. At the end of the course students will be able to sit for the Pitman Computerised Accounts Level 1.

Assessment method
This course will involve sixteen hours formal tuition incorporating a one hour examination.
Entry Requirements
Students should possess a familiarity with the Windows operating environment and ideally an awareness of the terms and procedures involved in Basic Book-Keeping.
Equipment and Materials
Students should also be aware that they will need to provide computer discs.
