This course offers a practical understanding of the retail industry alongside specialist marketing subjects and will attract students looking for a top-up that enables them to develop a broad background in management as well as more specific skills in retail and marketing.
Depending on their areas of interest and specific entry qualifications, students are able to study a range of modules that build upon and enhance their previous studies and enable them to become familiar with the key issues involved in the strategic marketing of this dynamic and competitive industry. They are also able to choose from a range of optional modules including public relations, direct marketing, relationship marketing, fashion retailing and retail consultancy. To graduate with an honours degree students must also undertake a research-based dissertation.
