About Redbridge College

Overview
Redbridge College Overview Image

Redbridge College can offer you a practical, hands-on approach to learning instead of A Levels.  Our wide choice of courses provide the knowledge, skills and environment required to prepare you for university or the world of work; BTEC qualifications are now widely accepted by universities – in fact, almost half of successful UCAS applicants in 2009 did not have any A Levels at all! And with an on-site restaurant, hair and beauty salons, TV studio and music suites you’ll be learning in industry standard facilities.

But that’s not all. Our assessment takes place by a mixture of coursework, test and practical work – good news if you’re not keen on the stress of exams. You can also study a single subject you love, rather than three or four that you’re not so keen on. And don’t forget, our teachers and lecturers have been there and done it, not just read about it.

What’s more, we are a good college – and that’s official. Our latest Ofsted report rated us as good overall with outstanding features. The report noted that pass rates on our wide provision of courses are well above the national average, that progression rates to university or employment are high and that our care, guidance and support for students are good. Additionally, students enjoy coming to Redbridge College and like the atmosphere of mutual respect with all staff.

Perhaps that helps explain why we have 100% pass rates on 25 of our courses, with overall pass rates of more than 90%. These figures make Redbridge College the best for success out of all the local competition and put us in the top 15% of all colleges in the UK.

Don’t just take our word for it though – come and see for yourself. At one of our Open Days or Advice Nights you’ll be able to tour the campus and speak to tutors, students and Connexions Career Advisors about courses, college life and your future. There’s no need to book, just drop in to our main campus, located midway between Romford and Ilford, on the day.

In the meantime, why not find out more about what’s going on at Redbridge College on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube or by visiting www.redbridge-college.ac.uk
