In this course participants will study Reasoning and Thinking Skills. This covers not only the well established critical thinking skills of analysis, evaluation and synthesis but also the wider thinking skills including problem solving, information processing and creative thinking. They will be able to develop analytical, evaluative and syntactical skills and, given the breadth of the specification, skills of conceptual thinking, information processing, problem solving and creative thinking will be further developed and strengthened. On successful completion they can progress to university and for careers in areas such as law, advertising, journalism, politics and teaching.
Participants need 5 or more GCSEs at grades A*-C including Maths at grade C and English at grade C.
