This course provides measuring, costing work and control of the financial aspects of the building process. Students will be introduced to management principles, science and materials, as well as the specialised areas of construction technology, building services and site surveying, which will be complemented by site visits. Pathway units include: management of the built environment, quantitative analysis and construction economics.
Four GCSE (grade C or above) including Mathematics and English or equivalent BTEC / Edexcel Advanced GNVQ or National Certificate / Diploma in a Building / Construction related discipline or Relevant Access to Higher Education Diploma Other qualifications which are considered to be equivalent of the above Applications are welcomed from students who do not have the academic qualifications listed above but who may be admitted on the basis of relevant experience rather than standard qualifications (UCAS tariff points 40 points from a level 3 qualification)
