Course Description
This course aims to introduce the main principles of two research paradigms to undergraduate and graduate students who intend to undertake research work as part of the requirement for their dissertation or thesis. In addition to the basic familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research designs, students need a deeper understanding of each approach, and the assumptions that underpin each paradigm. This understanding should help students to make informed choices with regards to selecting an appropriate design for their research.
