This is a very practical course which teaches the student editing, design, page layout, copywriting, publicity and marketing, websites creation and content management and project management; through set projects and exercises and the student�s own projects you'll learn the skills needed to work on books, magazines, leaflets and newsletters, exhibition or retail catalogues, or web content; there is also the opportunity to undertake work placements in local and national publishers and organisations.
Year 1: Core modules in contemporary publishing (contexts); introduction to visual design; editorial (copywriting and text editing). Year 2: Core modules in contemporary publishing 2; the business of publishing; designing visual narratives; editorial product development.
