Public policy and government impact on everybody. Issues such as health, education or the influence of Europe affect us all. This course draws on politics, sociology, social policy and business fundamentals to provide an understanding of the processes involved. There are opportunities to explore how globalisation, the environment or technical change affect policy, and to examine issues involved in strategic decision making or the relationship between government and business. The optional placement year provides an opportunity to gain invaluable professional experience. Student exchanges to European institutions are also possible (subject to availability).

Assessment method
Assessment will involve combinations of coursework and examinations for each module. Coursework generally includes essays and reports, assignments, presentations, group projects and case study analysis.
