The College of Human and Health Sciences aims to achieve recognition as a centre of international excellence, informing policy, practice and education
Focusing on public health and collaborative care, this programme addresses the demands of current policies, such as the need for effective leadership and management; approaches to planning integrated and collaborative care in public health and communities are studied, with a focus on the social integration of disadvantaged groups into the main stream of community life and reducing inequalities in health and social status; the programme has been developed in line with National Occupational Standards for Practice of Public Health (Skills for Health 2004)and each module addresses the requirements of 1 or more of the 10 National Occupational Standards; some of the modules make use of external professional involvement so that there is integration of theory and current practice.
