Course Description
Public health genetics involves the integration of genetic information and technology with public health systems; it applies genetics technologies within clinical settings to the development of policy regulation around the use of genetic data and to the communication of developments to the public; it also relates to feedback mechanisms through to those working on the more scientific aspects of this field. Course content includes: Biomedical basis of human disease; experimental design and methodology; molecular genetics; general principles of epidemiology; genetic epidemiology; ethics and governance of research; molecular technologies; genetics and health i - disease management; genetics and health ii - disease prevention; genetics and society. This course runs within Cranfield Health School.

Entry Requirements
A good honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent, in a variety of disciplines such as genetics, biomedical sciences and human biology. However, a blend of qualifications, motivation and relevant experience may also be acceptable.
