This programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the theories, methods, findings and applications of psychology and selected areas of criminology; 2/3rds of the degree is taught within the psychology division and 1/3 is taught within the criminology division; in order to ensure appropriate coverage of core areas in both psychology and criminology, opportunities for choice are necessarily more limited on this programme; students have the opportunity to choose between three criminology modules in year 3 and they also complete an individual psychology honours project on a topic of particular interest to them; the programme is structured so as to enable students to become accomplished independent learners, exhibiting problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills of a high order.
