This degree programme provides students with an excellent grounding in psychology; students carry out research individually and in groups allowing them to understand and apply relevant psychological theories to real life situations; students are also encouraged to undertake paid or voluntary work experience to prepare them for future employment; most modules are delivered by means of lectures, lab work and seminars, with a strong emphasis at all levels on small group work; students carry out an empirical project, allowing them to investigate an area of their choice and apply their findings to psychological theory.
