Unit 3 - Applications of Psychology - the aim of this unit is to enable students to study how psychology can be applied to the real world and develop students' understanding of approaches studied for AS level. Students will study the following applications: Criminological Psychology, Child or Health Psychology. Unit 4 - How Psychology Works - this unit focuses on the debates between approaches within contemporary psychology. Students study aspects of clinical psychology including different treatments and explanations of mental health issues. In the issues and debates section, students develop an understanding of conceptual and methodological issues and how to use theories and evidence from different areas of psychology and apply them to issues.
Successful completion of AS Psychology. You should also have both Mathematics GCSE and English GCSE at grade C or above.
