This course covers a broad construction curriculum, exploring all the areas needed within a professional capacity; it helps to develop the skills and expertise to deal with: building refurbishments and adaptation works; provisions for disabled; and the impact of disability legislation in terms of the approach to take; the development of policy and strategy as it relates to listed buildings; commercial property and dwellings; the course also offers students the opportunity to develop their drawing skills, a skill required when producing working drawings for planning and building regulation consents with the use of auto cad or cad; the course will also develop infromation technology communication skills; the course has a strong core of technology but students will also study aspects of project management, law of property and contract along built asset management to given them a good grounding in all aspects of property management.
