This course develops participants culinary skills and lead to a qualification that is highly sought after by the industry. They will advance culinary skills in either NVQ Advanced Pastry, NVQ Advanced Kitchen Larder Operations or NVQ Advanced Restaurant. They will also gain additional qualifications, such as the British Institute of Innkeeping Award, Responsible Alcohol Retailers or Welcome Host. On completion, they can progress onto a Foundation Degree in Hospitality Management at Highbury, a Degree at university or gain employment.
Participants should have completed NVQ Food Preparation and Cooking or NVQ Food Service at Level 2, or have significant trade experience. Numeracy and literacy are also required at an appropriate level.
