As part of this highly practical course students will study a wide range of cookery techniques as well as studying kitchen practices. They will also be able to participate in annual exchange trips to European countries and numerous national trade shows and competitions. They will gain the following qualifications: diploma in introduction to professional cookery level 1, food hygiene certificate.
Students should have a genuine interest in catering. Some evidence of studying at GCSE level or successful completion of an entry level qualification would be an advantage.
