This course is offered on a modular basis and successful completion leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), subject to satisfactory performance in skills tests; students study the core and foundation subjects of the National Curriculum and are introduced to the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage; students are also introduced to the principles of behaviour management and assessment for learning; additionally students are supported to develop the knowledge and skills to teach learners with special educational needs and disabilities and learners with other diverse needs.
