An introduction to 2D and 3D fine art subject areas, including Painting, Drawing and Mixed Media, Printmaking and Sculpture. The emphasis is on practical project work, portfolio building and using a sketchbook. You will experiment with a wide range of materials, techniques and creative approaches to explore and develop your skills, knowledge and critical awareness. Tutors will offer support and guidance. There will be a group exhibition of work in the Landing Gallery at the end of the course. Suitable for those who wish to build up their experience or a portfolio of work for applications to art college. It will also provide an excellent preparation for the new Morley art Foundation Course, starting September 2011.
