Practical Training in Accountancy & Payroll specialises in practical accountancy and payroll workshops for those in accountancy. As pioneers of this vocational training, we have carefully designed and structured our workshops to give delegates the necessary practical skills to enable them to understand and prepare accounts from source documents to the balance sheet.

Ptap training is designed to help graduates and students gain work experience that is actually valuable. Workshops are conducted in financial accounting, management accounting, computerised accounting (Sage Line 50), spreadsheet (Excel) payroll (manual & computerised), VAT & stock control (Sage Line 50), incomplete records, taxation and auditing.

The workshops are designed for:
• Those who have no practical experience
• Those who although are working have never prepared accounts by themselves from actual source documents (invoices, petty cash vouchers, cheque stubs etc.) up to the balance sheet.

Practical Training in Accountancy and Payroll is a registered Training provider with DIUS –Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (formerly Dfes). Ptap is recognised by the Home Office as a genuine education provider for International students.

Phillips, Kobbs & Co (a registered ACCA Practice.) has teamed up with Ptap to add other skills to the training being offered. We have developed an accountancy laboratory where you can gain your practical experience quickly, cheaply and of the highest quality. Phillips, Kobbs & Co provides the delegates with work attachment. The idea is to expose the candidates to a real life experience that will enable them to become an immediate asset to their employers.

Ptap provides references to all delegates and a certificate of competence is awarded after completing any of the workshops. Phillips, Kobbs & Co will provide references to delegates who attend the Practice Attachment™.

What's on offer
The Practical training is conducted in six modules to cover the following areas:

• Financial Accounting
• Management Accounting
• Computerised Accounting (Sage Line 50)
• Spreadsheet using Excel
• Payroll (manual & computerised)
• VAT & stock control (Sage Line 50)
• Taxation and Auditing
• Oracle E-business suite

In addition to the workshop, trainees complete their practical experience training with a Practice Attachment™ programme at businesses and accountancy firms which includes, Phillips, Kobbs and Company, an ACCA registered Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors.

You can chose to attend the one year or the six months programme. Courses are conducted each month through out the year, in a small group by qualified practitioners and instructors. We guarantee our trainees quality technical knowledge and practical skills training to a recognised standard.

Location
Our training centre and office is located in Docklands, London. It is also renowned for the location of reputable financial institutions.

The area is very well connected to central London by all means of transportation. The nearest station to the training centre is Cross Harbour Station on the DLR line.

All our training is provided in small groups in superbly well designed modern and spacious training rooms. The rooms are air-conditioned, providing trainees with the comfort and working environment of a highly successful training company.
