Students in Practical Theology explore the interaction between Christian faith and the wider spirituality of contemporary culture, with particular concern for the challenges and opportunities this offers in the context of the life and ministry of the church, both in Scotland and internationally; the department�s strong links to both church and clinical settings, along with the university�s extensive library holdings, make Aberdeen a dynamic and rich context in which to study theology�s capacity to contribute to the transformation of individual lives and contemporary society; the programme is open to those whose prior knowledge and experience is in other disciplines, but who have interests in Practical Theology and are looking for a course to introduce them to the concerns and methodologies and equip them for effective ministry in different contexts.
