Course Description
The learning objective of this course is to improve the confidence of those veterinarians who feel out of their depth when performing routine abdominal surgical procedures in small animal practice. Where possible theoretical principles will be applied to real life practical situations. Key areas: Taming the evil spirits within - maximising exploratory laparotomies; Managing intestinal foreign bodies - surgery of the gastrointesintal tract; The exploding dog - gastric dilation and volvulus; We seem to have sprung a leak - haemoabdomen and uroabdomen.
