The 19th and 20th centuries saw exciting innovation in the technology and design of English ceramics. See how this was reflected in pieces from Victorian times, through art nouveau, art deco and modernism up to the quirky designs of the 1950s and 1960s. Find out about key designers like Willian de Morgan, Susie Cooper and Clarice Cliff, whose distinctive pieces are sought after by collectors, and study and discuss real pieces in the classroom. Bring along your own examples too! A museum or factory visit will be included (this may incur a small additional charge). Please ring WEA Office 01332 291805 for a brochure and enrolment details.
