Course Description
This degree course covers the theory and practice of constructing software applications that operate on the Internet. A firm grounding is provided in networks, distributed systems, computer security and databases, as well as practical experience with technologies and tool kits for building internet-based software. Students learn techniques for delivering software applications over the world wide web and for connecting component-based software using distributed objects and web services. They will learn about and build software applications using the currently dominant technologies, such as Enterprise Java and .NET. All students undertake a large, personally supervised project in the final four months of the course.
Course Fees
Standard fees: £4010 full time; part time £2050. Deviations from the standard fees arise in: The Institute of Archaeology & Antiquity; some Education & Social Work courses; Business - mainly Economics & MBAs; International Development; Medical Bench fees; Engineering CPD courses; & Environmental Health courses, amongst others. Fees are confirmed upon confirmation of course admission.

Entry Requirements
Normally, a first or second class honours degree in a relevant or cognate discipline; in addition to IELTS score of 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any band and TOEFL score of 600/250 plus TWE 4.0.
