Course Description
The University of Wales LLM is a unique course with an international law focus. It offers a stimulating programme of study which challenges the student with a wide range of interconnected legal issues. It introduces students to wider economic and legal issues, such as International Carriage of Goods by Sea or International Commercial Arbitration. Consequently, the programme will prove relevant to those individuals wishing to pursue a legal career specifically focused on trade law as well as those who simply wish to broaden their knowledge of international commercial issues. Successful completion of this programme will enhance the marketability of the students, and open up a range of international employment opportunities. The LLM is a stimulating programme designed to stretch a student's understanding of law and the legal environment on the international plane. Course content includes: International Sale of Goods and Agency Contracts; The Finance of International Trade; International Economic Law; International Commercial Contracts; Conflict of Laws; Carriage of Goods; Marine Insurance; International Arbitration; International Economic Law; Dissertation; Internship.

Assessment method
Assessment is by a combination of examination and coursework, and the dissertation.
Entry Requirements
Usually, a student will be aged 21+, with a lower second class LLB (Hons) Law Degree or equivalent. Those with professional qualifications may be admitted on a case by case basis, subject to the approval of the Associate Dean of Law. Mature entry is possible, where students of 25+ without formal academic qualifications provide a relevant CV and work reference letters, and statement of purpose. Entry is subject to approval by the Associate Dean of Law. Students must have IELTS 6.0.
