Course Description
This course covers specialist aspects of horticulture on a theoretical and practical level, including science, technology, management and practice. It covers units such as horticulture and research, operational business management, amenity horticulture or production horticulture, principles and processes of world horticulture, strategic management in horticultural business environments, technical competence assessment, gardens and designed landscapes or urban landscapes or production horticulture, research and dissertation.

Assessment method
Students will be assessed through projects, written and practical examinations and the final year dissertation.
Entry Requirements
Students must have 3 years appropriate professional experience or current employment in the horticultural industry.
Equipment and Materials
Students will need secateurs, a horticultural knife and protective clothing and footwear.
