Course Description
This MA/PgD programme provides both a professional training in counselling that is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an opportunity to achieve competence in practitioner research. The programme is particularly suitable for those applicants who come from areas such as social work, education, nursing, medicine, occupational therapy, youth and community work, pastoral work, law and personnel management.

Course Fees
Fees for 2008/09 are likely to rise by approximately 5%, from the foregoing 2007/08 fees quoted: taught & research full-time £4500 & part-time £375 (per 15 credit taught module); part-time research £1230; Professional doctorates will ordinarily charged at the above mentioned research rates, whilst DMan will cost £10000. You are advised to check with the Provider, concerning individual course fees.

Entry Requirements
All applicants will normally have completed the Certificate of Higher Education in Counselling/University Diploma at the University of Hertfordshire or an equivalent certificate programme. In addition applicants are expected to have substantial work or voluntary work experience in a relevant area. Applicants must demonstrate their ability to study at a postgraduate level by possession of a degree, professional qualification or other evidence presented during the admissions process.
