Course Description
This is the second part of a three year professional training course designed for those who wish to pursue a career in counselling. The theoretical orientation of the course is Person-Centred. The course includes making sense of the counselling process; developing a critical appreciation of person-centred counselling; developing an understanding of pertinent issues involving loss; personal and professional development; developing as a reflexive practitioner and counselling practice. There are two weekend residential that all students must attend.

Entry Requirements
Entry requirements are formal application and interview; age twenty five years or over and candidates must satisfy the University's requirements. They must hold a Certificate in Counselling or equivalent. Previous training must be Person-Centred

Venue Description
South Cheshire College provides excellent facilities like a restaurant, travel centre, shop, 250-seat theatre, fitness academy, starting point nursery and hair and beauty salons. There are also several Learning Resource Centres at different locations in college which are fully-equipped with IT and internet access facilities. They also cater for all disabilities and the College provides ramps, lifts and appropriate disabled car parking facilities
