Course Description
This course is designed to support students who want to study postgraduate courses in Software Solutions/Computing, but whose first degree is non-computer related. The course is structured as 9 taught units and a project. The taught modules will cover areas such as Programming Methodology, Object-Oriented Programming, Database Systems, Website management, Object-Oriented Software Development, Component Based Development, Information Systems, Engineering, and Data Structures and Algorithms. Students will develop a broad range of Computing/Software development skills and learn the latest technologies and methodologies directly contributing to greater analytical, logical, critical and problem solving skills. During the course they will use up-to-date networked hardware platforms giving access to software applications, development packages and tools. The course is ideal for anyone with professional or academic qualifications or industry experience in other disciplines who wishes to pursue a Postgraduate degree in Software Solutions or other Computer related courses.
