Course Description
This is a combined research and taught programme. The core modules are: Nanochemistry; Materials Chemistry; Materials Characterisation; Effective Project Management; Presentation and Communication; Skills/Team Skills. You also take one option from: Biomaterials; Polymer Science and Soft Matter; Functional Materials; Advanced Electron Microscopy; Materials for Sustainable Environmental; Technologies.
Course Fees
Fees for 2008/09: taught full-time: £4200; part-time: £2100; research full-time £3240-£3350; part-time: from £1620. Students should contact the Financial Support Office for further details, regarding fees or bursaries.

Entry Requirements
Normally, a first or second class honours degree in a relevant or cognate discipline; in addition to IELTS score of 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any band and TOEFL score of 600/250 plus TWE 4.0.
