Timetable
You will have approximately 20 hours of classroom contact per week. Your classes will normally take place daily from Monday to Friday. You will also be expected to undertake at least another 20 hours of private study.

Course Description
The Graduate Diploma in Business, Law and Social Sciences prepares you for a postgraduate taught masters degree within the Management School, the School of Law or the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Sheffield. The programme is academically challenging and builds on your prior studies and experience. The course provides integrated academic studies in business, law or social sciences, advanced level English language, and comprehensive study skills. Course content includes: Preparation for Higher Education Studies (3 term students only); Key Academic Skills; Research Project; Principles of Social Science; Research Design and Practice; (Business Pathway) Global Corporate and Marketing Strategies; (Law Pathway) Introduction to English, European and International Law; (Economics Pathway) Economics; (Social Sciences Pathway) European Liberal Democracy. The Diploma allows you to progress to a taught masters degree within the Management School, the School of Law or the Faculty of Social Sciences. Your place is guaranteed when you complete the Graduate Diploma programme and achieve the grades stipulated in your offer.

Assessment method
Students are assessed through a combination of assignments, periodic tests and end-of-module examinations. Full-time attendance is an important part of the assessment.

Entry Requirements
Entry to the Graduate Diploma requires students to have an undergraduate degree, equivalent to a UK Ordinary Degree, with good grades. The exact entry requirements vary from country to country.
