Course Description
The MSc in Professional IT Project Management (Part-time) has been designed to develop knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage IT projects. These projects may be strategic or application-based. The modules have been selected to provide a balance of computing and project management content. The unique feature of this programme is its flexibility in mixing on-campus teaching (requiring just one night's attendance a week) with open learning material and a large work-based learning component based in the student's workplace. The aim of the programme is to provide a postgraduate course of study that offers the development of new skills and abilities while recognising the contribution from experience and building on this experience in the workplace. Students may be able to exit the course, at appropriate stages & be awarded the lesser qualifications of Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma (PgCert/Dip).

£200 part time per 10 credit module.

Assessment method
Assessment is based on individual written reports and research papers, practical assignments, and the project.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirement for the programme is normally: a good honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent in the computing or IT discipline. Candidates with a good honours degree in a management or technical subject together with a good knowledge or practical experience of computing are also encouraged to apply. Applications are also welcome from candidates with relevant experience and backgrounds.
