Course Description
There has been an increasing realisation that the design of the built environment should meet the varied needs of all its users irrrespective of their age, state or mobility. In parallel accompanying legislation has forced the rights of disabled people on to the political and everyday practical agenda of those responsible for the design, maintenance, modification and safety of the built and rural environment. This new graduate CPD course addresses both the context and practical environmental consequences of these changes. It can be studied at Graduate Certificate level with a view to extension to Diploma and Masters level in the near future.
