Course Description
Taught modules: Nature-Inspired Computation; Neural Networks; Machine Learning Techniques; Tools and Techniques; Selected Topics in Applied Artificial Intelligence; Generic and Transferable Skills. Research modules: Research Methodology; MSc Research Project. If you have no previous knowledge of Java, a series of introductory sessions and supervised workshops is available that will provide programming skills in the language.

Assessment method
There are no formal examinations. Instead, each taught module has its own 'within-module' assignments and tests that contribute 66% to the overall degree and 33% of your marks come from the research project.

Entry Requirements
At least a 2.i Honours degree or equivalent in an engineering or science subject will normally be required. For students coming with CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) marks, a minimum of 3.0/4.0 is set as the entry requirement.

Childcare facilities are available on site. Early booking of sessions is strongly recommended due to high demand of limited places. Guidance and advice may be available for all aspects of student life. Facilities/Support are available for students with hearing impairment.
