Point Blank has been voted “Best Music  Production School” for six consecutive years at the prestigious T-Scan Awards. The school runs small classes with personalised teaching from true music industry professionals. Tutors include Grammy award-winners and songwriters with record sales in the millions as well as producers and remixers who’ve worked alongside Massive Attack, Beyonce, De La Soul, Alicia Keys, Bjork, La Roux, Florence and the Machine, Sugababes and many others.

Accredited by EdExcel, NCFE and the National Open College Network, Point Blank courses are supported by Mark Ronson, Louie Vega and Pete Tong among others and recent guests at the college include Tong himself, Felix from Basement Jaxx, Annie Mac, Guy Chambers and the President of Universal Records to name a few. This feature of the school enables students to get a first-hand perspective on the music industry.

Point Blank welcomes students from all over the world. Many of them go on to enjoy success in the music industry and included among them are Leona Lewis, Gemma Cairney (BBC 1Xtra), Dev (BBC Radio 1), Tayo (Fabric) Ben Scarr (Island Records), Beyonce remixer Gareth Wynn and Armand Van Helden remixer DJ Jahawi. The college is an Approved Training Centre for music software giants Apple, Ableton, Steinberg and Native Instruments.

What’s on offer

The focus of the courses is "hands-on" training. In addition to weekly classes, students have access to the studio facilities seven days a week in order to schedule practice sessions and reinforce the skills covered in class. Both the Diploma (1 & 2 year options available) and Certificate (1 year) courses are highly flexible, allowing students to select course modules that match their interests and experience.

Online courses are available for students who are unable to study at the college in London.
